Arnold Goldberg and his elder brother Bernard Goldberg, co-founded the first furniture store of Raymour’s Furniture Store in the year 1947 in the region of Downtown Syracuse, New York.
After originally wanting to name their furniture store “Decker’s”, the brothers settled on naming their furniture store after an antique shop on Long Island – that was owned by a third brother.
Over the next few years, they continued development and in the year 2005, their company began focussing on expanding more of its presence in the metropolitan area of New York by acquiring the furniture retailer store Futurama.
In the year 2022, the brand opened its eight stores in the region of New York City and 26th in total, in the NYC metro area.
